Dryden Ontario Fishing Regulations - Zone 5

Fishing licenses are available at camp. You can also buy fishing licenses at most tackle and bait stores that you pass on the way to the lodge. You can also buy them on-line.

Fish Sanctuary: The northern tip of the lake is a provincial fish sanctuary and closed to all angling April 1 to June 14. This sanctuary protects the main spawning areas of the lake and keeps our fishing fantastic. Please see map of Rugby Lake.


Walleye Regulations (Zone 5):

Open Season: Jan. 1 to April 14 & 3rd Sat. May to Dec. 31
Limit - Sport License: 4 in one day
Limit - Conservation License: 2 in one day
Size Restrictions: Rugby Lake Lodge supports quality fishery management. No possession of Walleye over 18.1 inches.


Northern Pike Regulations (Zone 5):

Open Season: Open all year
Limit - Sport License: 4 in one day
Limit - Conservation License: 2 in one day
Size Restrictions: Rugby Lake Lodge supports quality fishery management. No possession of Northern Pike over 29.5 inches.


Lake Trout Regulations: (Zone 5)

Open Season: Jan. 1 to Sept. 30
Limit - Sport License: 2 in one day
Limit - Conservation License: 1 in one day
Size Restrictions Sport License: Only one greater than 22 inches


Smallmouth Bass Regulations: (Zone 5)

Season: Open all year
Limit - Sport License: 4 in one day
Limit - Conservation License: 2 in one day
Size Restrictions: Must be less than 13.8 inches from Jan. 1 - June 30


Perch Regulations: (Zone 5)

Season: Open all year
Limit - Sport License: 50 in one day
Limit - Conservation License: 25 in one day


Crappie Regulations: (Zone 5)

Season: Open all year
Limit - Sport License: 10 in one day
Limit - Conservation License: 5 in one day
